No.1: Laying the Main Wiring Harness and Front Brake Cable
Note: This cable is for the front brake and features a "one-pull three-brake cutoff" system. It does not require distinguishing between front and rear when laying it. Once installed, it enables the brake power-cutoff function.
Step 1: Lay the main wiring harness. Ensure the rear end of the harness has a split connector that branches into two lines, while the front end remains a single continuous cable with no branches.
Step 2: Install the front brake cable. Insert the brake cable screw through the designated hole and tighten it securely.
Next, attach the brake return spring. Thread the short end of the spring through the small hole on the brake cable and the long end through the two holes at the rear. Twist the spring wire a few times to ensure it is firmly secured and won’t come loose.
Test the brake lever: the spring should recoil when pressed, indicating the brake cutoff system is functioning properly.
When connecting the cables, ensure the male and female connectors are matched correctly. A foolproof design prevents incorrect connections.
Move to the opposite side of the tricycle. Take a large spring, insert the short end through the front hole and the long end through the rear hole. Slightly bend the spring to achieve the correct angle — not too tight or too loose.
Then install the front brake hook.
Unscrew the bolt from the brake hook and keep it in place.
Attach the hook by threading it through the mounting hole and re-tighten the bolt.
Pass the other end of the cable through the hole and secure it.
Insert the brake cable through the hole, tighten the screw, and hook the front-end hole onto the brake hook.
Place a washer and secure it with steel wire, twisting it tight.
Once the rest of the vehicle is assembled, the front brake will function properly when the hook is moved.
Finally, screw on the protective cap at the end of the brake hook to complete this step.
